POSITION: Mechanical Assembler

REPORTS TO: Production Foreman

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position will perform a variety of task on the shop floor including Heavy Equipment Assembly
• General knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic systems
• Using and operating various hand tools and production equipment
• Interpret blueprints and assemble both mechanical and hydraulic components to specifications
• Test and inspect components to discover flaws
• Prioritize a changing workload
• Meet tight deadlines in a semi-repetitive, fast paced environment
• Work independently and as a team, self-starter paced environment
• Uphold safe work practices

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment

•Forklift Experience is an asset

•Experience with hand tools, cutting torches, grinders, paint sprayer.
