POSITION: Brake Press Operator

REPORTS TO: Production Foreman

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Welder will be responsible for the following:

• Operation of 400 Ton CNC brake press in safe manner
• Forming of ½” -1” plate
• Read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings
• Safely rig components for lifting.
• Assure the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using a brake press
• Forklift and overhead crane experience
• Excellent understanding of steel fabrication techniques as well as steel grades and shapes
• Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Flexible individual with the ability to prioritize a changing workload
• Understanding of quality control procedures used during machine operation
• Able to meet tight deadlines in a semi repetitive, fast paced, fun and professional environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic
• Competent English skills.
• Good understanding of WHMIS and safe work practices
